Latest Updates from Our Project:

Stretch Goal #1 // BGG
almost 2 years ago – Thu, Jul 14, 2022 at 04:41:21 AM

Good morning Lunarians (for that is how you shall be collectively known forthwith!),

Spectacular! We've hit 3000 backers in under 24 hours and that means we blasted past our first stretch goal. Instead of two cards, the Deluxe edition of Moon now comes with a good solid flag reward board.

Is Moon a "proper" board game now?

The flag reward board will be used at the end of every era to determine the increasing rewards for the players with the most flags of the five types, representing their focus (or not) on industry, science, housing, food production, and transport.

Mission: Stretch Goal #2

Our second stretch goal unlocks at 3500 backers - can we hit that today?! It's a new Expedition card to throw into the mix for Era I, the "Eager Expedition". We'll show the art and talk a bit about what it does when we unlock it!

This card will be added to the Valkyrie expansion, so every backer will receive it.

Moon on BoardGameGeek

If you don't know already, BoardGameGeek (BGG) is a huge and very popular website about board games. If you're not a member, we highly recommend it as an amazing free resource for every aspect of this amazing hobby.

BGG maintains a very influential list known as "the Hotness", which is delivered to us mere mortals by a mysterious algorithm that ranks games by their current popularity. So when enough people are interacting with the various aspects of a game's page on BGG, that game is considered "hot" and rises up the list. Being high up the Hotness puts a LOT of eyes on a game, and as a small publisher, this kind of exposure is absolutely invaluable to us. Moon is already at #40 out of 50, but with your help, it could rise higher!

So, we would love it if you would head over to the Moon page on BGG and click around - thumbs up some pictures, (this one in particular), and favourite the game by clicking the heart icon. If you played Moon at UKGE and took photos, please post them to the page as well - we especially want to see some of the selfies people had with Haakon :D

BGG is especially valuable when it comes to rules questions because the answers are there forever more and are a big asset to the community at large. Haakon regularly replies to questions in the rules forum, and you really can't beat having your rules queries answered by the designer himself!

That's will do it for now! We will talk more about Eager Expeditions and other things very soon...

Take care, and play games.
